The Miller School's third annual Integrative Medicine Symposium will take place this Friday and Saturday at the Medical Wellness Center. The Symposium will open at 9:30 a.m. Friday and feature more than 24 accredited presentations, dozens of demonstrations and tasting tables. Topics will include acupuncture, clinical nutrition, laser therapy, chiropractic care, research design, integrative medicine clinical services, holistic nursing, music therapy, herbal medicine and more.
On Saturday, the Clinical Nutrition Lecture Series will take place with Hal Blatman, M.D., medical director of Blatman Pain Clinic in Cincinnati, OH; David Brownstein, M.D., medical director of the Center for Holistic Medicine in West Bloomfield, MI; Joseph Evans, Ph.D., researcher at Pump Tech Inc. in Rhododendron, OR; Michael Greer, M.D., integrative medicine private practice physician in Seattle, WA; and David Perlmutter, M.D., director of Perlmutter Health Center in Naples, FL.
Friday's portion of the symposium is free, and registration for the lectures on Saturday is $125. The symposium is approved for continuing medical education credits and continuing education units for medical professionals.
