Following months of collaboration, development and testing, the Miller School is proud to launch its newly designed Web site today. The site, still at www.med.miami.edu, is a comprehensive, user-friendly forum for the latest news and events, publications, and research. You'll also find quick links to important patient services at UHealth - University of Miami Health System, connections to join and follow UMiamiMedicine on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, and a new blog by Dean Pascal J. Goldschmidt, M.D.
Functionality and navigation ease were key drivers in the development of the new site. The Miller School's Division of Applications Development and Web Services and the Office of Medical Communications boosted the site's searching capabilities, more clearly defined subsections, and improved links to related departments and articles, all to enhance the user experience.
Dean Goldschmidt's blog debuts today, heralding, in his words, "a new day for communication at UHealth and the Miller School of Medicine." Through the "Office of the Dean" button on the new site, you'll be able to link to Dean Goldschmidt's blog and, with a click and a few key strokes, send him feedback on Miller School initiatives.
"The integration of the blog and other social networking sites will present our community with even more access to what is going on at the Miller School," Dean Goldschmidt said. "Great achievements in education and patient care are being realized daily at the Miller School and UHealth, and we will share our good news as it happens."
By following UMiamiMedicine on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, you'll receive the latest UHealth/Miller news stories, announcements, video content, and more. If you are not already a member of these sites, joining is easy. Instructions for creating an account are available on the homepage for each site.
