Mark your calendar and join us as Miller School students host a benefit for the UM Haiti relief effort tomorrow (Wednesday) at 5 p.m. on the Schoninger Research Quadrangle.
The event will include a presentation by Seth Thaller, M.D., professor of surgery and chief of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and long-time medical volunteer in Haiti. He will share his experiences as one of the first on the ground after the January 12 earthquake. The Music Ensemble for the Enrichment of Medicine (MEEM) and the Medical Organization Valuing the Expression of Dance (MOVED) will perform. Original art and photographs by members of the Photo Club and Art Club will be available for purchase, along with food, drinks and baked goods.
The Haiti Benefit Festival is the collaborative effort of MEEM, the American Medical Student Association, Physicians for Human Rights, MOVED, the Public Health Student Association, the 2012 Class Council, the 2013 Class Council, and the Art and Photo clubs at the Miller School. All proceeds will benefit UM efforts in Haiti.
