Neuroscientists from the South Florida academic community, and those interested in entering the field, are invited to attend the 18th annual Neuroscience Research Day at the Miller School on Friday, November 20, from noon to 5 p.m. If you are interested in submitting an abstract for the poster session, the deadline is Friday, October 30. New research is welcome, as are posters that may have been displayed at recent conferences.
The free, day-long event offers the opportunity for established neuroscience faculty, post-doctoral fellows, graduate, undergraduate, and interested high school students to meet, share their research and develop valuable contacts for networking and future collaborations.
The invited speaker is Jack McMahan, Ph.D., chair of biology at Texas A&M University. Dr. McMahan will present his novel techniques for studying the organization of the synapse at noon in the Lois Pope LIFE Center, seventh-floor auditorium. The presentation will be followed by a poster session on the Schoninger Research Quadrangle.
