Psychiatry Grand Rounds: “Psychiatric Malpractice: A Legal Perspective”
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences invites you to Grand Rounds this Friday, from noon to 1:15 p.m. at the Mailman Center for Child Development, eighth-floor auditorium. Lawrence E. Brownstein, private practice attorney in West Palm Beach, will present "Psychiatric Malpractice: A Legal Perspective." Upon completion of this lecture, participants will be able to discuss common themes giving rise to malpractice claims from patient suicide, employ the best risk management practices to help avoid a lawsuit, analyze a case presentation, and discuss the standard of care for suicide risk assessment.
