Research Compliance Educational Series

The Office of Research Compliance Assessment and the Office of Research Education and Training invite you to participate in the "Research Compliance Educational Series." The objective of the series is to raise and maintain employee knowledge and awareness of research compliance in human subject research. Four classes will be offered on the Coral Gables campus throughout the fall. Principal investigators, research nurses, clinical coordinators, study team members and anyone else involved in human subject or clinical research are strongly encouraged to attend. Participants will receive a certificate after completion of each class, and nurses can earn continuing education credits.

The following classes will take place in the Flipse Building, room 502:

• Standard Operating Procedures in Research: Provides an overview of establishing the needs for the creation of standard operating procedures this Friday from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
• Documentation Practices: Provides an overview of good documentation practices, record retention requirements, and supporting federal and local regulations and guidelines, October 6, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
• Informed Consent: Provides an overview of the history of informed consent, the informed consent process and its documentation and supporting federal and local regulations and guidelines, October 28, from 9 to 10 a.m.
