Parkinson’s Symposium: “Ways to Enhance Your Quality of Life”
The Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center will present a symposium titled "Ways to Enhance Your Quality of Life" this Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Palace Royale, 11355 SW 84 Street, Miami. The event is designed for those diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and their caregivers. Speakers will include Neva J. Kirk-Sanchez, Ph.D., PT, associate professor of clinical physical therapy, who will present "Improving Physical Health and Fitness," and Kelly Laurence, Ph.D., research mentor in the Department of Psychology at Barry University, who will present "Learning to be Less Anxious."
