Leaders from National Academies to Discuss Engineering Innovations in Health Care
The National Academy of Engineering and the Institute of Medicine will join together for the first time at the regional meeting and panel discussion on "Engineering Innovations in Health Care" on the Coral Gables campus at the School of Business Administration, Storer Auditorium this Thursday.
Hosted by James M. Tien, distinguished professor and dean of the College of Engineering, and Daniel Berg, distinguished research professor of engineering, the event will draw a world-renowned group of speakers and feature a presentation by Dean Pascal J. Goldschmidt, M.D., titled "Autonomous Innovations in Health Care" at 2 p.m., and a panel discussion moderated by President Donna E. Shalala at 4:30 p.m.
