Dr. Richard Bookman to Present Town Hall Meetings on Hurricane Preparedness for the Research Community
Richard Bookman, Ph.D., vice provost for research, will discuss hurricane preparedness for the research community during town hall meetings on each campus: • This Thursday, June 10, at 2 p.m. in the Lois Pope LIFE Center, seventh-floor auditorium • This Friday, June 11, at 10 a.m. on the Coral Gables campus, Cox Science Building, room 213 • This Friday, June 11, at 2 p.m. on the RSMAS campus, Dean's conference room
The sessions will not only be geared toward those who are new to the area, but also to any researcher with questions about preparing for a storm. Other presenters will include experts from the Office of Research Emergency Preparedness, Risk Management, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
