D-CFAR Breakfast Presentation: “HIV and Women, Infants and Children”
The HIV and Women Scientific Program at the UM Developmental Center for AIDS Research will host a breakfast presentation this Thursday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Clinical Research Building, room 1080. Gwen Scott, M.D., professor of pediatrics and director of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Disease and Immunology, and Tracie Miller, M.D., professor of pediatrics and associate chair of pediatrics for clinical research, will present "HIV and Women, Infants and Children." The lecture will discuss research opportunities, allow for networking and collaboration with other UM investigators on research applications and identify investigators from other Centers for AIDS Research. In addition, scientists will be nominated for the spring conference, "HIV in Adolescents and Young Adults," as part of the D-CFAR Scientific Program initiative to expand grants that support research on HIV and women.
Breakfast will be served. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to Szonja Vamos at svamos@med.miami.edu or 305-243-2103.
