Research shows that students look to faculty more than any other group on campus to provide career support. 92% of faculty across the country report that students in their disciplinary area asked them for career advice in the past year. The University of Miami Career Champions Network, with nearly 150 members, was created to better prepare faculty for their career conversations with students.

If you must cancel a class during the semester, the Toppel Career Center team of career educators can substitute and lead a workshop on many customizable topics.

We've also created PowerPoint slides on varying career topics and information that can be incorporated into any lecture for students to view without taking away any time from the curriculum. You can access the three slides we've already created, and we're happy to work with you to develop additional customized options.

Applications are being accepted for Faculty Fellow positions on the University of Miami Coral Gables campus. Reporting to the Dean of Undergraduate Education and the Sr. Vice President of Student Affairs, the Faculty Fellow serves as a positive and visible leader of a Residential College. Learn more.

Are you in need of a new professional head shot? The Toppel Career Center offers free professional photos with its self-service professional headshot photo booth! The process is quick and easy, and you can take as many photos as you’d like. 

Drop by any time Monday - Friday, 10am - 4pm (no appointment needed). Toppel is located right off Stanford Drive next to Hillel and behind the Pavia Garage. 

The headshot photo booth is available to all UM students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
Teaching with AI: Seizing Opportunities and Navigating Challenges
The Learning, Innovation, and Faculty Engagement team is pleased to introduce this asynchronous self-paced course aimed at equipping faculty with the essential knowledge and practical tools for integrating generative AI into educational settings. Learn more.

Any student, faculty, or staff member is welcome to stop by the 'Canes Community Food Pantry during hours of operation to receive or donate items.  

We are happy to accept donations to the food pantry and encourage donations that can easily be prepared in a microwave or easy consumption.
