Michael Paidas, MD

Dr. Michael Paidas is a distinguished maternal–fetal medicine clinician scientist and Professor and Chair of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he also serves as Chief of Service at University Health Tower and Jackson Health System. Dr. Paidas is internationally recognized for his expertise in reproduction, perinatal medicine, and hemostasis. Dr. Paidas has led influential research initiatives, including the PRESERVE-1 preeclampsia study, long-term work on Pre-Implantation Factor (PIF), and development of the patented COVID-19 therapeutic SPIKENET. Widely honored for clinical excellence, he has received awards from Yale and Tufts and ranks in the top 1% of clinicians nationwide.  His work on COVID during pregnancy and its impact on neurodevelopment of infants aligns closely with the scientific priorities of the Mailman Center.
