Permit Sales 2019-2020

Dear Colleague,

The online parking permit application process for faculty and staff on the Coral Gables Campus will open on Monday, June 24, at 12:01 a.m. (Sunday night). Gables One Tower will receive a separate communication regarding permit applications.

This is an open enrollment period for ALL faculty and staff, irrespective of whether a current permit is owned or if you are on the 2018-19 waitlist. Permit sales will be opened up to returning students on July 8. All faculty and staff are expected to receive their first choice as long as they make their selection during this two week period.

Important Change, effective fall 2019:

Faculty and staff who only require a 'Nights and Weekend' permit should note that there will be a charge for the 2019-2020 academic year. View a list of permit prices.

Please note:

  • During events, certain portions of the yellow and gray permit zones often close to regular permit holders. When this occurs, we will notify you via email and provide alternative parking arrangements.
  • Parking permits are virtual and are linked to the tag number of your vehicle. You may enter more than one tag should you have multiple vehicles in your household but only one registered vehicle can be parked on campus at a time.
  • As per the 'No Back-In' policy, vehicles must be parked head-in only unless they have a front plate. Learn more about this policy.

How to apply for a permit:

You may apply for your 2019-20 parking permit by following the instructions below. Please use the "next" or "previous" buttons during the process. Do not use the back arrow (<) on the task bar. Additionally, do not close the webpage using the red 'X' button during the process. This will lock you out of the system and keep you from completing your transaction:

  • Visit www.miami.edu/parking, click on the image of the U below the main picture where it states "Access Your Parking Account", then click on "Login" in the top right hand corner. You will be required to use your UM single sign on username and password.
  • Your vehicle information may already be stored in the system. You can check this information at any time under the "Vehicles" link in the top left corner. If this is your first time applying for a parking permit, or if your vehicle information has changed, you will need to know the make, model, year, color, and license plate number for the vehicle you are registering. Please take care to ensure your tag information is entered correctly to prevent citations being issued.
  • Only available zones will show up on your selection. Take your time in selecting the correct zone. Once you have selected a zone and completed the transaction, you will not be able to change your permit. If your first choice is sold out, please purchase an alternative second choice location. Once the transaction is complete, you may go back to the 'Parking Portal' link in the top left hand corner and add yourself to the waitlist for your first choice zone.
  • You will be required to confirm your mailing address and email.

Please do not hesitate to contact Parking and Transportation at 305-284-3096, or parking.gables@miami.edu if you have any questions and/or concerns.
