MAINLY MOZART

Mainly Mozart Virtual Concert Series 2020

In response to this unprecedented time, Mainly Mozart Festival invites you to join us for LIVE with Mainly Mozart, a unique series of seven free live online events. Occurring every Saturday May until June 27, 2020 at 4pm, these curated broadcasts will feature a stellar lineup of artists in performance and conversation, sharing behind-the-scenes insights, excerpts from past performances, and live musical moments. The events will feature librarian-curated pop-up exhibits related to each performance and other elements designed to foster social engagement.

100 registrants will be randomly selected to have a unique opportunity to interact with the featured artists, host, as well as each other, ask questions and even "meet and greet" in the post-event breakout rooms.

Each event will be simultaneously streamed live on multiple platforms: Mainly Mozart Festival website, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Vimeo channels. All viewers and participants will be able to experience the events live or on-demand.

To register for this week's concert, please click here.

The Festival is co-presented with the University of Miami Libraries and is made possible in part by a University of Miami rapid response grant.

LOWE MINDFULNESS ONLINE

Join the Lowe Art Museum for a live virtual guided Mindfulness practice

Recharge, refresh, and cultivate greater present moment awareness with our two guided mindfulness practices. Mindful Looking, offered three times a month, invites participants to focus attention in different ways on a work of art from the Lowe’s collection. Mindful Sitting, offered the first Tuesday of the month features a traditional guided mindfulness sitting practice.

The Art of Mindfulness, established in 2016, was developed as a collaboration between the Lowe Art Museum and Miami Law’s Mindfulness in Law Program. Guided practices are offered in partnership with UMindfulness and Mindfultime.

The Lowe’s Art of Mindfulness sessions will take place on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm. The session will last about 40 minutes (30 minute guided practice with 10 minute reflection and Q & A).

*In order to receive a weekly (Mondays) registration link to these free Zoom sessions, sign up for our Mindfulness Email List.

This offer is made possible thanks to a 20-year Development Agreement between the City of Coral Gables and the University of Miami.
