Landmark Surgery Offers the Promise of Sight

A Central Florida mother's desperate journey to find treatment for her legally blind son led her to Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, where pediatric retina surgeon Audina Berrocal performed the institute's first gene therapy surgery for inherited eye disorders on the 9-year-old, with high hopes of restoring his vision.
