Dear New University of Miami Students:
On behalf of the staff of the Student Health Service, welcome to the University of Miami. If you have not done so, please be sure to review the New Student Information page.
Students who are enrolled for Summer only and will not be on campus and are not participating in any in-person instruction or training are not required to submit immunization information but are advised to do so if they intend to return for the Fall semester. Most students will be able to obtain immunizations from their high school, prior university, or medical office. Please contact Student Health Services at studenthealth@miami.edu should you experience any difficulty obtaining your immunization records.
Domestic students who chose to do so, can waive the insurance via the United HealthCare (UHCSR) waiver portal. You or your designee will need your student ID (C#), date of birth, and insurance information in order to submit a waiver request. You will receive a waiver approval or denial (if we are unable to confirm insurance coverage) from waiverstatus@uhcsr.com within 5 business days.
No waivers will be accepted after the May 25th deadline.
