Support from the Counseling Center

This time of the semester can feel especially heavy as responsibilities build and energy starts to run low. Emotional well-being isn't about having everything figured out; it's about noticing what you need and giving yourself permission to slow down, reset, and ask for support when you need it.

Small moments of care can make a difference: taking a few intentional breaths between classes, checking in with a friend, stepping outside for fresh air, or setting realistic expectations for yourself during busy weeks. Even brief pauses can help you feel more grounded and supported.

COPE (Counseling Outreach Peer Education) is a group of undergraduate Peer Educators who create space for open, honest conversations about mental health and connect students to Counseling Center resources in ways that feel approachable and real.

Events may be added throughout the month and semester—stay connected to see that's coming next! Follow us on Instagram @cope_umiami or on Facebook (University of Miami COPE) to stay updated on upcoming events and resources.

If you're looking for additional support, the Counseling Center is here for you.
