Student Well-Being Newsletter header

Welcome to the Student Well-Being Newsletter, an initiative from the Division of Student Affairs to introduce you to the many campus programs, services, and events aimed at enhancing your well-being.

As part of this initiative is the Student Well-Being website, which collects on-campus, off-campus, and online programs, services, and resources available to support you across eight dimensions of well-being:

  • emotional well-being
  • environmental well-being
  • financial well-being
  • intellectual well-being
  • occupational well-being
  • physical well-being
  • social well-being
  • spiritual well-being

Each newsletter will focus on a specific dimension and will include tips to improve your well-being, on-campus resources, and well-being-related events.

What is Well-Being?

The state of being happy, healthy, and prosperous

It includes having good mental health, high life satisfaction, a sense of meaning or purpose, and the ability to manage stress. Well-being is just that: feeling well.

Assess Your Well-Being

Try taking this personal assessment to discover your level of well-being.

Do: Check-In with Your Friends and Classmates

At the U, 'Canes Care for 'Canes. We all have a role to play in supporting the well-being of our community. Checking in to ask how a friend, classmate, or a fellow 'Cane is doing can really make a difference.

If you know a fellow 'Cane in need, take action now by submitting your concern — anonymously if you choose—to get them the help and support they need to be successful.
