Housing for the Fall 2021 semester closes at noon on Friday, Dec. 17 for non-Commencement participants and Saturday, Dec. 18 at noon for Commencement participants.

Requests to be released from on-campus housing for Spring 2022
If you are not returning to on-campus housing for Spring 2022, you must complete a cancellation request form through the Housing Portal available via CaneLink by Wednesday, Dec. 1.
- Students approved to cancel next semester’s housing who cancel by Dec. 1 will only receive a $500 penalty. Beginning Dec. 2, students will be responsible for a full room penalty.
- Students graduating this semester who cancel by Dec. 1 can do so without penalty. Beginning Dec. 2, graduating students who cancel will be charged a $500 penalty.
Room change requests
If you would like to change your room assignment for the Spring 2022 semester, submit a room change request through the Housing Portal via CaneLink to be reviewed on or before Wednesday, Dec. 1.
If your request is approved, you will receive instructions about when to move into your new space.
Half-empty rooms
If you are currently living in a half-empty double room—including those with roommates leaving on-campus housing for the Spring 2022 semester—you will be assigned a roommate for the Spring 2022 semester.
Prior to leaving campus, please prepare the empty half of your space by removing posters/pictures, emptying the closet, and ensuring all furniture is ready for the new resident.
Note: submit a room change request if you would like to avoid being paired with a new roommate randomly.
Mail/Packages
For students not residing in Winter Intersession housing, mail or packages received over winter break may be returned to sender. The first day returning students can ship mail or packages to campus for Spring 2022 is Monday, Jan. 10.
Winter intersession housing
On-campus housing is available for resident students who would like to live on campus for any portion of the Winter Intersession period, regardless of their enrollment in any intersession courses.
Winter rates are available on our website. Apply by Wednesday, Dec. 1 to avoid an additional $100 fee.
