Your move-in day is almost here! Below is a summary of what to expect when you arrive to campus. Complete details—including your arrival appointment day and time—are available on our website.
Your arrival day
1. Arrive to campus
Enter campus at 5699 Merrick Street. This will be the only entrance available. Please arrive to campus as close to the start of your appointment time as possible.
2. Check in at the Watsco Center
From the temporary parking lot, enter the Watsco Center Multipurpose Room Fieldhouse for our centralized check-in process. You can be accompanied by one family member inside the Fieldhouse.
CONTACTLESS CHECK-IN: To provide a contactless check-in, a QR code will be available on the On-Campus Housing Portal's landing page. Please come prepared with this QR code ready on your phone.
3. Cruise Ship Move-In™
For first-year students living in Hecht, Mahoney, and Stanford as well as first-year and transfer students living in Pearson, USS will bring all of your belongings from your car to your room (one car per resident and no oversized moving vans, trailers, or UHaul-style trucks). Transfer students living elsewhere on campus will be responsible for moving their own belongings to their rooms.
4. Park in long-term parking
Once your car is unloaded, you will be directed to a long-term parking area. Parking is only available within the designated parking garages. Shuttles will be available to and from the residential areas and the designated parking areas/garages.
5. Move into your room
By the time you return from the parking garages to your residential college, your items should already be placed in your room for you to unpack. You can be accompanied by up to two family members within your residential area to assist with unpacking and moving in. Everyone must continue to wear face coverings and practice physical distancing while moving in.
6. COVID-19 test
As a reminder, all residential students—regardless of vaccination status—will be required to test at the Pavia Garage on-campus testing site within 24 hours of checking in to on-campus housing.
After-hours arrivals
The Watsco Fieldhouse will be open for check-in from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 16, and Tuesday, Aug. 17. If you arrive after it has closed, proceed directly to your residential area. You will be checked in and given temporary access to your housing assignment until you are able to get a 'Cane Card the next day.

Reminders
- Mail and packages: Ensure you are using your correct on-campus mailing address to send mail and packages ahead of your arrival. Additionally, during arrival week, you may experience longer than typical delays to receive a notification from The UPS Store once your package is ready for pickup. Please do not attempt to retrieve any packages until you receive an email specifically from The UPS Store. We appreciate your patience and understanding as pickup wait times may also be longer than normal.
- Help us maintain an efficient, safe, and physically distant move-in process by packing only the items most essential for your time on-campus. Packing only what you need also helps with a quick move-out when it is time to return home.
