Fall Move-In Information

The Department of Housing and Residential Life welcomes all students to the University of Miami’s on-campus experience. Living on campus is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy university life to its fullest.

Below are answers to the questions you may have about your new on-campus residence.

Cruise Ship Move-In

In order to provide a convenient and stress-free move-in experience, the University of Miami partners with University and Student Services (USS). As the exclusive provider of “Cruise Ship Move-In” for college campuses, USS will bring all your belongings from your car directly to your room. This gives you more time to focus on what’s important, getting settled into your room.

Students are pre-assigned a move-in time based on their room assignment listed in the UM Housing portal available via CaneLink. Visit our Fall 2018 Move-In information page for complete information, including a video walkthrough of Cruise Ship Move-In.

Parking Information

No parking will be available outside of the designated parking areas. Once USS has completed your unloading, you will be directed where to park.

Move-in Regulations

  • One car per resident
  • No moving vans/trailers
  • Avoid oversize vehicles

Following these regulations is necessary to ensure an efficient move-in process for all. Please keep this in mind when making your move-in arrangements.

Special Accommodations

All drivers are asked to park at the designated parking areas. Shuttles for those with special needs will be available to and from the designated parking area and residential areas.

Residents of Mahoney or Pearson Residential College
