Reflect & Reset

Your Mid-Year Career Check-In

Summer is the perfect time to pause, reflect, and realign. Whether you just wrapped up your first internship or you're heading into your final year, taking stock of your experiences cna help you move forward with more intention and clarity.

Why Reflect Now?

Mid-year reflections help you:

  • Recognize growth and accomplishments
  • Identify areas for skill development
  • Realign goals with evolving interests

Reflection isn't just for the end of the semester-- it's a strategic pause that helps you take charge of your next steps.

Try This:

5 Mid-Year Reflection Prompts

Block out 30 minutes, grab a journal or open a Google Doc, and answer the following:

  1. What am I most proud of from this past semester (inside & outside the classroom)?
  2. What challenged me, and how did I grow from it?
  3. What feedback did I receive, and how can I apply it going forward?
  4. What skills do I want to sharpen this summer or fall?
  5. What's one career-related goal I can set (or reset) right now?

Pro Tip: Turn Reflection into Action
