Global Engagement Graduate Student Travel Support Award

The School of Communication is delighted to announce the Global Engagement Graduate Student Travel Support Award, a funding mechanism that provides up to $250 in financial support toward conference travel that occurs outside of the U.S. before August 15, 2024.

These one-time $250 awards are open to all PhD and MFA students in the School of Communication. Students are only eligible for one Travel Support Award during the award period.

University of Miami Student Start-Up Accelerator Fund

With support from a generous UM alum and his family and a $5 million gift, we are excited to launch University of Miami Student Startup Accelerator (USTAAR). USTAAR will support entrepreneurial culture of our students at all levels. The program will provide direct investment and mentoring to students who want to launch startups.

Through a competition, USTAAR will support up to 20 students / teams with $10K initial investment. This will rise up to $100K for 5 successful teams that develop their minimum viable products and are ready for the next step in their product development and commercialization journeys. Apply Today!
