Journalism as Activism

Join trans reporter Lewis Raven Wallace on the myth of “objectivity.” His research includes stories of journalists who have fearlessly described power and oppression in spite of being pushed to the margins.

As a transgender activist and racial justice advocate, they share a vision for justice-driven journalism in the 21st century, journalism that is capable of standing up to authoritarian tendencies, and defending free speech and liberation for all.

Scholarship Opportunity

Steven Sotloff: An American Hero

The Steven Joel Sotloff Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund is awarded annually to a student purusing journalism who demonstrates both academic success and financial need. The scholarship is provided by 2Lives: Steven Joel Sotloff Memorial Foundation. 

Applicaiton and Essay due September 28, 2023 at 12:00PM. 

The scholarship recipients will receive two tickets to the Miami Dolphins home game against the New Engaland Patriots on October 29th and will be presented with a check on the field.

MADE functions as the "Common App" of marekting & advertising internships. A MADE candidate is matched with potentially dozens of internship opportunities at our partner companies based on traits such as critical thinking and leadership potential. The MADE Program is open to undergradtae juniors and seniors only (graudating between May 2024 and May 2025). Priority deadline for students is October 20th.
