Information For U

Advisors can help support degree-seeking students via degree planner by recommending specific courses and creating a semester-by-semester path to graduate. With degree planner, students can:

  • View courses that are required to graduate in a clear, visual map.
  • Explore different course load scenarios and how they impact the graduation timeline.
  • Assess how switching majors could affect their academic path, if necessary.
  • Map courses, which automatically integrate with CaneLink's schedule builder feature—making the registration process easier and faster.

Advisors can access degree planner by logging into CaneLink at canelink.miami.edu and clicking Main Menu > HighPoint > Degree Planner > Degree Planner Student Search. Training on how to use degree planner is available here
