Announcing 2022 Holiday Schedule
The Division of the Regulatory Affairs and Assessment (RAA) in the Office of the Vice-Provost for Research + Scholarship at the University of Miami is dedicated to ensuring the integrity, safety, and compliance of the sponsored programs we undertake. During the upcoming holidays, units of the RAA division will be observing the below holiday periods. The staff in these units will be available but will have limited response times during the Holiday season.

Message from Laura Kozma, Associate Vice President, Research Administration
In accordance with the University of Miami’s Holiday Schedule, Research Administration will be closed December 23, 26, 27, 30 and January 2. As such, the Research Administration staff will not be available during those dates. There will be staff available for urgent needs and to ensure deadlines are met on December 28 and 29.
To ensure timely processing of proposal submissions and awards prior to the holidays, please note the following deadlines:
- PROPOSALS with Due Dates from DEC 23 - JAN 3 – Provide complete and final proposal packages to ORA Monday, DECEMBER 19.
- CONTRACTS requiring review by December 31 OR NEW ACCOUNTS to be opened in Calendar Year 2022 – Provide documents to ORA by Friday, DECEMBER 9.

The Institute for Data Science and Computing (IDSC) is pleased to announce the 2022-2023 IDSC Fellows have been chosen. Join us in congratulating (clockwise from top left): Sadegh Tale Masoule, Kelly Soluri, Jeffrey Serville, and Shara Sookhoo.
IDSC joins with University faculty to mentor IDSC Fellows on how to best utilize University’s cutting-edge advanced computing resources in their proposed research projects. This is a prestigious designation awarded each year to four students, either undergraduate (sophomore level or above) or graduate level.
You are invited to attend the IDSC Fellows Launch Symposium, hear their project proposals, and enjoy light refreshments at Richter Library 3rd Floor Conference Room (343).
This event is free and open to the public.
