Grants Innovation Exchange New Unique Entity ID (SAM)

The November Grants Innovation Exchange will feature updates from OMB and the General Services Administration’s (GSA) Integrated Award Environment (IAE) on the new System for Award Management (SAM) Unique Entity ID.  This session is targeted towards the recipient community and we will walk through everything a recipient of Federal awards needs to know in preparation for the transition, including a demo of how to request a new Unique Entity ID (SAM).

By April 4, 2022, the Federal government will transition away from the use of the DUNS Number and toward the new Unique Entity ID as the primary means of entity identification for Federal awards government-wide.  If you are registered in SAM.gov, you’ve already been assigned a new Unique Entity ID!  It’s viewable in your SAM.gov entity registration record.  Go to fsd.gov and select the green Help on UEI Transition button to learn more.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the Zoom Webinar.

January 4, 2022 Deadline

For Recipients of NSF Cooperative Agreements

On Wednesday, November 10th, the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force issued updated guidance for Federal contractors and subcontractors (Guidance).  The updated Guidance states that employees working on covered contract and contract-like instruments (which include cooperative agreements) under the requirements of Executive Order (EO) 14042, Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, will now need to have their final vaccination dose by January 4, 2022, so that they are fully vaccinated by January 18, 2022.  After that date, all covered employees must be fully vaccinated by the first day of the period of performance on a newly awarded covered contract, and by the first day of the period of performance on a newly awarded cooperative agreement, or on a funding amendment to an existing cooperative agreement. The updated Guidance can be found at: https://www.saferfederalworkforce.gov/contractors/.

Although the date for full vaccination among covered employees has been moved, there has been no change to the effective dates in the EO.
