Faculty Working Group: AI & Writing

Wondering how to assign writing in the age of AI? Join faculty from around the university to discuss ideas, workshop assignments, and learn new techniques for navigating a post-ChatGPT world.

We will meet six times this semester: 9/2, 9/16, 10/7, 10/21, 11/4, and 11/18. All meetings will be held via Zoom from 5:00pm - 6:30pm.

 

Fall 2025 Faculty Writing Group

Online writing meetings to support your productivity will be offered on the following days and times throughout the Fall 2025 semester:

  • Wednesdays, 8am – 10am
  • Thursdays, 4pm – 6pm
  • Fridays, 10am – 12pm

Teaching with AI: Seizing Opportunities and Navigating Challenges is an asynchronous self-paced course designed to equip faculty with essential knowledge and tools for integrating generative AI into educational settings. Learn more.

With the Toppel Career Center’s self-service headshot photo booth, you can stop by any time during normal business hours to take a free professional headshot. The photo booth is open to all UM students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Learn more.

All UM students, faculty, and staff are welcome to stop by the Canes Community Food Pantry during hours of operation to receive or donate items. The pantry is located in Lakeside Village Room 1054. Learn more.
