AI & Writing in the Classroom

Wondering how to assign writing in the age of AI? Join faculty from around the university to discuss ideas, workshop assignments, and learn new techniques for navigating a post-ChatGPT world. 

We will meet six times this semester: 9/2, 9/16, 10/7, 10/21, 11/4, 11/18. All meetings will be held on Zoom from 5:00pm - 6:30pm. Register now. 
Faculty Writing Group
Online writing meetings to support your productivity will be offered on the following days and times throughout the Fall 2025 semester:
  • Wednesdays, 8am – 10am
  • Thursdays, 4pm – 6pm
  • Fridays, 10am – 12pm

Fall 2025 Mindfulness Sessions
UM Libraries hosts introductory sessions on the fundamentals of mindfulness and well-being with opportunities for guided practice, reflection, and questions. Virtual sessions are offered weekly, and registration is required.

Teaching with AI: Seizing Opportunities and Navigating Challenges is an asynchronous self-paced course designed to equip faculty with essential knowledge and tools for integrating generative AI into educational settings.
 
Headshot Photo Booth
With our self-service headshot photo booth, you can stop by any time during normal business hours to take a free professional headshot. The photo booth is offered to all UM students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
Canes Community Food Pantry
All UM students, faculty, and staff are welcome to stop by the Canes Community Food Pantry during hours of operation to receive or donate items.
