The University streamlined the ’Cane Card production and new student check in processes by allowing incoming students to upload their ’Cane Card photos electronically before they arrive on campus. Incoming students will receive an email to their UM email address to prompt them to upload their ’Cane Card photo if they (a) submitted their deposit and were matriculated, (b) were issued a UM email address, and (c) have not previously received a ’Cane Card through a prior academic program (e.g., Summer Scholars, Undergraduate, etc.).
