Guillermo “Willy” Prado, vice provost for faculty affairs, dean of the Graduate School, and professor of nursing and health studies, is recognized by the prestigious National Academy of Medicine for his scholarship in prevention science.

 

McKnight fellowships awarded to doctoral students

Thirteen doctoral candidates in programs historically underrepresented by Black and Hispanic students received McKnight Doctoral or Dissertation Fellowships that offer financial, counseling, and professional development support. When these students complete their degrees, they become eligible to teach at the collegiate level.

The vision of the Institute for Data Science and Computing (IDSC) Fellows Program is to inspire a new generation of leaders in data science to cross the traditional boundaries between disciplines. IDSC Fellow is a prestigious designation awarded each year to two undergraduate students (sophomore level or above), and two graduate students. IDSC Fellows develop their computational skills and expand their research experience under the guidance of two faculty mentors. At the close of each academic year, IDSC Fellows present their work at a spring symposium. No stipend is offered, but a small cash prize is awarded. Cancer Epidemiology Postdoctoral or Faculty Position

The Slone Epidemiology Center at Boston University invites applications for a full-time faculty or postdoctoral fellowship position in cancer epidemiology to join the investigative team of the longstanding Black Women’s Health Study. Interested candidates are invited to send a cover letter stating interest in the position and desired academic rank, curriculum vitae, a statement of current research interests and future research plans, and the names of three references.
