Weekly testing compliance

All graduate students who will be on any University of Miami campus at any point during the spring semester must comply with the weekly testing requirement and complete the updated COVID-19 "We Are One U" module.

Beyond Academia Conference 2021

Beyond Academia is hosting a free two-day virtual conference with around 100 Ph.D. speakers who successfully transitioned to non-academic careers in a variety of fields in both STEM and Humanities and Social Sciences. Study on hookah smoking seeks research participants

Dr. Taghrid Asfar, M.D., MSPH, assistant professor at the Miller School of Medicine, is working on a five-year study, funded by the Florida Department of Health's Ester King Biomedical Research Award, to adapt health warning labels on waterpipes in Florida. The research team is recruiting hookah smokers between 21-29 years-old to complete a confidential, brief survey and attend one focus group session via Zoom. Eligible participants will receive up to $66.00 in compensation for their time and effort.

The Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) program is now accepting applications for its annual funding program. The SCGSR program provides supplemental funds for graduate awardees to conduct part of their thesis research at a host DOE laboratory/facility. Graduate students conducting research in Microelectronics, Data Science, Conservation Laws and Symmetries, and Accelerator Science are especially encouraged to apply. The Dan David Prize awards scholarships to doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, carrying out research in one of the following three fields: History of Health and Medicine, Public Health, and Molecular Medicine. Registered doctoral and postdoctoral researchers who study at recognized universities throughout the world, and whose research has been approved, are eligible to apply. The Dan David Prize awards ten scholarships of $15,000 to students and postdoctoral researchers at universities throughout the world. “Per Grazie Ricevute” Prize on the ex-voto phenomenon

The Fondazione P.G.R. announces the first edition of its “Per Grazie Ricevute” Prize. The prize of €2,000 will be awarded biennially to the best thesis/dissertation on the ex-voto phenomenon (from either the artistic, historical, socio-economical, cultural, anthropological or devotional point of view, in any religious tradition, and with no chronological limitations).  The deadline for applications is July 15, 2021.
