Many of you think of Michelle as the staff lead for the Finance Department. But since mid-January, Michelle has joined the Faculty Affairs team. Her responsibilities now include overseeing the submission process for faculty promotion and tenure reviews, coordinating the faculty annual review process, and facilitating the recruitment and rehiring of adjunct faculty members. Michelle also offers vital support to the Vice Dean of Faculty and Research, Dr. DJ Nanda, moving special projects forward.

THE FIVE VANESSAS | Who is who?

Vanessa A. is a Sr. Financial Analyst in the Budget Office. Her responsibilities include financial reporting, account reconciliation, and active involvement in the annual budget development and quarterly forecasting. Vanessa A. also oversees faculty planning forecasts, manages DARTS accounts, and supervises Miami Herbert's capital expenses.

Vanessa G. has been a full-time lecturer in the Business Law Department since 2005. Vanessa teaches BSL 212 - Introduction to Business Law and BUS 401 - The Law of Commercial Transactions. In her nearly 20 years at Miami Herbert, Vanessa G. has taught thousands of undergraduate students to think clearly and logically and has spent countless hours mentoring many of them.

Vanessa K. is an Assistant Director on the Student Life and Success team. She works with the HEMBA, MSSB, and PhD Programs, helping students through the student life cycle from orientation through graduation. Her responsibilities include enrollment, graduation clearance, event planning, and more. Vanessa K. has also worked with graduate student organizations at Miami Herbert.

Vanessa L. serves as the Sr. Program Coordinator in Lifelong Learning & Executive Education, where she plays a vital role in planning and managing the logistics of executive education programs, from development to execution. This includes coordinating with faculty, handling enrollment, managing program materials, and cultivating strong relationships with corporate clients and participants.

Vanessa S. is a Lecturer in Business Law, teaching BUS 300 - Critical Thinking and Persuasion. She loves working with her students to continue developing their skills to address business audiences. Vanessa S. has over 25 years' law practice experience.
