Dear Colleagues,

As long time personal supporters of the United Way, we are delighted to accept the honor of serving as Co-Chairs of the 2018 Team UM United Way Campaign. We wholeheartedly believe in the mission of the United Way and its positive impact on our community.

During the 2017 campaign, the University of Miami raised more than $750,000. Your leadership, and that of your volunteer team, were vital in helping us continue to support our community.

United Way Campaign 2018

This year's United Way Campaign will officially begin on August 15, 2018. To ensure another successful campaign, we need your help in confirming an Ambassador to lead the campaign in your unit. The most successful Ambassadors are charismatic, reliable, well-organized, and creative. If you have more than 80 employees in your area, please consider choosing more than one Ambassador, as a team approach can make it more manageable. For your reference, please review the 2017 Ambassadors for the Coral Gables/RSMAS and Medical campuses.

Choosing Your Ambassador

To nominate or reappoint your unit's Ambassador, please send an email to unitedway@miami.edu with the name(s) and contact information of your Ambassador(s) by August 1, 2018. Ambassadors will be required to attend an orientation and two follow-up sessions. Additional details will be forwarded to the Ambassadors.

Each year, the United Way Campaign provides us with the opportunity to visibly demonstrate our support of the University's mission, which is to provide service that extends throughout our community and beyond. Together, we are sure to succeed.

Sincerely,

Jacqueline A. Travisano, Ed.D.
