Dear ITLC Colleagues,
Starting on Friday, July 29, 2022, students will only be able to access the University's secure wireless network via CaneNet Wireless, instead of SecureCanes. The following information will be shared tomorrow with students who have connected to SecureCanes over the last 90 days, but we wanted to share it with you first for your awareness. We will also share this information throughout the Fall 2022 semester via the University's newsletters: News@TheU, IBIS News, and UMed Insider.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at: itcomms@miami.edu.

Dear UM Student,
Our records indicate that you have recently connected to the University's SecureCanes wireless network for faculty and staff. Starting on Friday, July 29, 2022, students will only be able to access the University's secure wireless network via CaneNet Wireless, instead of SecureCanes.
CaneNet Wireless is a dedicated network just for students! CaneNet Wireless includes UNLIMITED data, lightning-fast upload and download speeds, and over 11,000 wireless access points (also known as "hot spots," wireless access points expand the wireless network, allowing for seamless coverage across UM's campuses, buildings, and common areas).
To connect to the student WiFi network, available on all campuses, simply select the CaneNet Wireless network on your device(s) and follow the prompts. (We also encourage you to forget the SecureCanes network on your device(s).)
