Travel News
Greetings from the Department of Travel Management
The start of the school year is an exciting time on campus. ’Cane Kickoff welcomed all of our new students and their families. Continuing students have returned to campus, and classes are now in full swing. As the new school year begins, whether you're planning travel for business or leisure, we’ve got you covered.
To stay informed with the latest updates, please take a moment to review our Travel Policy. While the use of the Travel Portal is no longer required, it is strongly encouraged when using University funds for travel. Additionally, our travel website is a valuable resource where you can find travel trainings, discounts, and answers to frequently asked questions.
If you're planning international travel this semester, be sure to read up on our international travel guidelines and familiarize yourself with International SOS, the University’s Global Assistance program. For those planning a leisure trip, don’t forget to explore Deem, our platform for booking hotels and car rentals. Enjoy special leisure rates exclusive to employees and students! Deem hotel rates can also be extended to visitors, family, and friends.
The Travel Management team is here to assist with any questions or concerns you may have. Happy travels!

|
|
Question: Can I book for another employee or student on the Travel Portal?
Answer: Yes. The employee or student will need to give you rights as one of their Travel Assistants. By doing so, you will be able to act as the traveler and book their travel. All booking information and transactions will then be stored in the traveler's profile. To access the Travel Assistant tip sheet, please click here.
