Summertime Travel!

Greetings from the Department of Travel Management

Summer is almost here—and as the semester comes to a close, campus remains bustling with activity. Students are concluding their final exams and gearing up for commencement. What's on everyone's mind? Summer break! Whether you're traveling for work or leisure, our newsletter is packed with tips and tricks to make your summer travels smoother.

Earlier this year, our Travel Policy underwent some changes to enhance convenience and safety for faculty and staff travelers. The use of the Travel Portal is no longer required, but strongly encouraged when travelers are paying with University funds. As a reminder, if choosing to book outside the portal, travelers must register their trips (both domestic and foreign) with International SOS (ISOS), the University's Global Assistance Program. Trips booked through the portal will be automatically uploaded to ISOS. If you have not done so already, please take a moment to review our updated Travel Policy. (Please note: While students are strongly encouraged to book airfare through the University Travel Portal, it is not required.)

If you're planning a leisure trip this summer, don't forget to explore Deem, our platform for booking hotels and car rentals. Enjoy special leisure rates exclusive to employees and students! The hotel leisure rates can also be extended to visitors, family, and friends. Visit our Travel website for more information and create a Deem account today.

Travel management is here to help with any questions or concerns you may have. Happy travels!
