Parking and Transportation Updates for the Winter Break

To the Coral Gables Campus Community,

Please be advised of the following updates for the upcoming winter break:

Parking zone color restrictions - As of Nov. 21, 2020, the color restrictions for all parking zones including purple, will be lifted for winter break. A valid parking permit is still required to park on campus between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m., seven days a week. Regular parking permits are not valid in service, metered, or reserved spaces at any time.

The reinstatement of parking zone color restrictions is anticipated to begin on Monday, Jan. 25, 2021.

Shuttle service - The shuttle service will cease operation as of 10 p.m., Friday, Nov. 20, 2020 and resume at 7 a.m., Monday, Jan. 25, 2021.

Parking garages - The Mahoney-Pearson, Pavia, and Merrick Garages will close at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020. All garages will reopen at 7 a.m., Monday, Jan. 25, 2021. Anyone wishing to leave their vehicle on campus over the winter break may do so in any of the above garages (a valid parking permit is required). If access to your vehicle is needed between the dates listed above, the vehicle should be stored in the Albenga Garage (University Village) which will remain open during the winter break.
