Fall Updates: Parking & Mobility

Please be advised of the following parking and mobility updates during the Thanksgiving and winter breaks.

Parking on Coral Gables Campus

Color zone restrictions (except for the purple zone) will be lifted during the 2022-2023 breaks noted below. A valid University permit is required to park on campus at all times.

Thanksgiving Break:

• Restrictions Lifted: Thursday, November 24 through Sunday, November 27
• Enforcement Resumes: Monday, November 28

Winter Break:

• Restrictions Lifted: Friday, December 16 through Monday, January 16
• Enforcement Resumes: Tuesday, January 17

Hurry 'Canes Shuttle: Coral Gables and Rosenstiel Campuses

The Hurry 'Canes shuttles will run on a limited service during breaks and closed during holidays. Click here for details on scheduled service.

Safe Ride

As a reminder, Safe Ride service is available only during fall and spring semesters, and will continue to service regular hours of Monday-Friday between 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. through December 16, and closed during the holidays.

To support finals week, there is an extension in service on the following dates:

• December 9-11: Service will run between 10 p.m. to 3 a.m.
• December 12-14: Service will run between 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Resident Students Only: Parking During Winter Break

Please email Parking & Transportation to coordinate storage over the break.

• Winter break storage is available the week of fall Commencement through the opening day of student housing in January in the Mahoney-Pearson Garage.
• Mahoney-Pearson Garage will have no in/out access during the break.
• Green permit holders wanting to access their vehicles over the break will need to park their vehicles in other zones (excluding purple) due to Mahoney-Pearson Garage not being accessible.
• Commuter students are not permitted to store their vehicles on campus.
