Winter Break Updates
Please be advised of the following parking and mobility updates during winter break.
Parking on the Coral Gables Campus
Color zone restrictions (except for the purple zone) will be lifted during winter break, as noted below. ADA, reserved, preferred, EV, and service spaces will always remain enforced. A valid University permit is required to park on campus at all times.
- Restrictions Lifted: Thursday, Dec. 11, through Sunday, Jan. 11
- Enforcement Resumes: Monday, Jan. 12
Hurry 'Canes Shuttle
The Hurry 'Canes shuttles on the Coral Gables Campus will have limited service during winter break and will not be in operation on holidays. The hours of operation will be Monday-Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. The Rosenstiel Shuttle will not operate during winter break. View more details on scheduled service.
Freebee
Freebee service is available only during fall and spring semesters. Regular hours are Monday-Sunday between 7 p.m. and 4 a.m. through Dec. 3. To support finals week, there is an extension in service from Thursday, Dec. 4, to Wednesday, Dec. 10, between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Resident Student Vehicle Storage
Winter break vehicle storage is available to resident students only.
- Availability is from the last day of classes on Tuesday, Dec. 2, through the opening day of student housing on Wednesday, Jan. 7, in the Mahoney-Pearson Garage.
- Mahoney-Pearson Garage will have no in/out access during the break beginning on Saturday, Dec. 13, through Tuesday, Jan. 6.
- Approval must be granted to store a vehicle in this garage over the break. Please request storage.
- A valid UM parking permit is required.
- Teal Permit holders who want to access their vehicles over the break will need to park at Pavia Garage, as the Mahoney-Pearson Garage will not be accessible.
- Commuter students are not permitted to store their vehicles on campus.
