During the December move-out, ECO Agency and ECO reps collected unwanted appliances from University Village residents. Close to half a ton of appliances were collected! After sorting and cleaning them, items were resold during the January move-in at a very low price to new students. This was a good way to help freshmen and divert waste from landfills! America Recycles Day was a success! ECO students recycled over 30 bags of cans and bottles in the Food Court Reverse Vending Machine. For each item recycled, a donation is made to the Student Sustainability Initiative at the Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science. Watch the video to learn more!
