Green Workshops

Learn How to Compost

Composting is the next evolution of recycling. Redirecting food waste from landfills creates less methane, while also returning nutrients from food scrap to the soil through compost application in your vegetable garden. Join us on Wednesday, August 31 at 5 p.m. in the Sustainability Garden (map). Learn the basic steps to start composting at home or in your community. RSVP now!

Garden Volunteers Wanted

The Sustainability Garden in the Arboretum is thriving! All UM community members can contribute by simply weeding, mulching, inspecting, rearranging, and adding soil. UM staff can receive 100 points on their Well 'Canes account for one hour of volunteering in the garden. Join us on Wednesday, August 24 from 4-5 p.m. in the Sustainability Garden (map). RSVP now!

Green Programs

Toner Cartridges and Batteries

Place your order with greenu@miami.edu once you reach a maximum of 30 batteries. If you or your Canon tech change the copier cartridges, make sure you recycle them. To learn more, visit miami.edu/recycle.
