To honor this year's Earth Day theme, "Restore Our Earth," the University of Miami is hosting a Virtual Earth Week celebration from April 19-24. You are invited to join fellow students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members for a series of workshops, panel discussions, and cleanup events that will explore our role in restoring our environment and what we can do to stand up for climate action. Wellbeing in the Garden

The Sustainability Garden in the Arboretum will have a weekly maintenance hour: Wednesdays from 4-5 p.m. Faculty and staff get 100 points on their Well 'Canes card for 1 hour of volunteering (2 hours - 200 points max). Green Building Tour

Thanks to the work of Giovanni Aprigliano, a student from the UM School of Communication, visitors can virtually tour the LEED platinum Frost School Music Studios. Mentored by Prof. Lien Tran, Giovanni's tour offers a 180-degree experience and leads the visitor to better understand the green features of this unique building. Visit for more information.

ECO Reps in Housing

ECO reps are educating their peers on sustainable living. During the Campus Race to Zero Waste, they have developed numerous programs: battery recycling and PPE recycling at Mahoney Pearson, composting at UV, and a new QR code to learn how to properly recycle at Stanford.
