Green Game Time

Come support your Miami Hurricanes basketball team as they play against the Virginia Cavaliers on Wednesday, March 4 at 9 p.m. at the Watsco Center. Our Green U team will be promoting best practices in recycling and reducing single use plastic. Take our Water Conservation pledge, and pass by the Green U table to claim your sustainable giveaway. Help the Garden

Join us Friday, March 6 from 3-5 p.m. for an afternoon of connection with nature. The Sustainable Garden, located next to the Gifford Arboretum, is in need of maintenance. If you are an employee, faculty, or student who enjoys gardening (mulch, weed, trim, and plant), then this is your opportunity to shine! You can even claim 100 points on your Well 'Canes card, RSVP now.

 

Bike to Work Day

Join Mayor Carlos Jimenez for the 8th annual Bike 305 "Bike to Work Day" event on Thursday, March 6 starting at 7:30 a.m. The event will start with a light breakfast and a short ceremony at the University Metrorail station. At 8 a.m., you'll kick off a 7.6 mile bike ride on the underline to downtown Miami's Government Center. Learn more.

Sustainability in the Curriculum

On Thursday, February 13 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at the Ungar building (room 230C/D) faculty members from all UM schools and disciplines are invited to share and explore new ways to integrate sustainable development goals into their existing courses. RSVP now.

 

MS Climate and Health

UM's Miller School of Medicine and Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (RSMAS) offer a new MS in Climate and Health. The program trains future generations of professionals, research analysts, planners, decision-makers, and leaders to address the intricate relationship between human health and climate change.
