WASTED! THE STORY OF FOOD WASTE aims to change the way people buy, cook, recycle, and eat food. Through the the eyes of chef-heroes like Bourdain, Dan Barber, Mario Batali, Massimo Bottura, and Danny Bowien, audiences will see how the world’s most influential chefs make the most of every kind of food, transforming what most people consider scraps into incredible dishes that create a more secure food system. New Solar Charging Umbrellas

Students can now charge their electronic devices with Solar energy!

The new Solar Charging Umbrellas are located in the resting area between the Whitten Learning Center and the Panhellenic Building. They store solar energy and come with an outlet that let you charge mobile devices.

Our panel will feature municipality officials and legal professionals discussing the power of local governments in the face of climate change threats. Topics range from municipal sustainability regulations to the struggle for agency between regional, state, and federal bodies. Attorney and UM Visiting Lecturer Thomas Ruppert, South Miami Mayor Philipp Stoddard, and other experts will share their knowledge and their experience at this unique environmental policy forum.

Peer to peer sustainability education program for staff and faculty at the U

University of Miami faculty and staff are invited to volunteer as Green Liaisons for their respective offices, units, or departments. Green Liaisons will share information about environmental sustainability initiatives and opportunities while identifying improvements in their own units, to support of the University’ Sustainability Action Plan.
