Dear Members of Business and Finance,

The challenges we have faced both personally and professionally over the past several months have made many of us reexamine our decisions, values, and priorities.

We understand that members of our University of Miami family are doing their best to navigate these trying times, while continuing to bring their best to work.

I want to do my part by keeping you informed along the way.

Today, we shared two messages with the University community, because we hear you and we understand that you have concerns and questions about safety amid rising COVID-19 cases and repopulating our campuses.

I encourage you to participate in the faculty and staff Town Hall on Tuesday, June 30 at 3 p.m. Take this opportunity to engage with University leadership and experts to learn more about our priorities and plans moving forward. Please register in advance. I also welcome you to anonymously submit questions for the candid discussion.

Despite challenges, I know that you continue to work tirelessly to ensure that we keep the U operating to serve our community and fulfill our mission. I am grateful for all that you have done and continue to do, and I look forward to connecting with each of you during next week's town hall. Together, we will continue to move forward with resilience and compassion.

With 'Canes pride,

Jacqueline A. Travisano, Ed.D.
Executive Vice President for Business and Finance & Chief Operating Officer
