A Game-Changing Hub for Innovation and Collaboration

The University dedicated the new College of Engineering-Johnson & Johnson 3D Printing Center of Excellence Collaborative Laboratory last week, giving faculty and students access to ten 3D MakerBots that use polymers and two 3D metal printers that use titanium or stainless steel to make objects limited only by imagination.

Alma Mater, Stand Forever

The extraordinary but separate lives of the composer, who escaped Armenia on a camel, and the lyricist, who arrived in Miami “over the backs of alligators,” were forever entwined in 1926 when they co-wrote UM's “Alma Mater,” one of the many traditions that will be celebrated during this week's The Magic in U homecoming festivities.

Nathan Kuck’s top 30 finish led the Hurricanes at the 2017 ACC Cross Country Championships, as the senior finished the men’s 8K in a personal-best time of 29:09.2—a school record.
