Miller School to Host Ezekiel Emanuel, M.D., Ph.D., for Bioethics Grand Rounds
Ezekiel Emanuel, M.D., Ph.D., founding chief of the Division of Bioethics at the Clinical Center of the NIH, will present Bioethics Grand Rounds on Friday, October 30, at 2 p.m. in the Lois Pope LIFE Center, seventh-floor auditorium. Dr. Emanuel will present "Research in Developing Countries: How Can We Make it Ethical?"
A well-respected oncologist and political scientist, Dr. Emanuel is currently on extended detail as a special advisor for health policy to the director of the White House Office of Management and Budget. Author of the acclaimed book, The Ends of Human Life, he is widely published on the ethics of medical research, end-of-life issues, euthanasia, the ethics of managed care, and the physician-patient relationship.
