Dear Colleagues,

In 2017, the University of Miami earned a Silver rating on the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment, and Rating System (STARS) in recognition of its sustainability achievements from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). The STARS program is a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance and encourage sustainability in all aspects of higher education.

I am pleased to share that the University of Miami has registered for the second time as a STARS Participant in an effort to further advance our Sustainability Action Plan.

Participating in STARS requires a substantial amount of data collection in four main categories: Academics, Engagement, Operations, and Planning & Administration. As the Sustainability Manager and STARS Liaison for UM, Teddy Lhoutellier will be spearheading the data collection efforts on campus starting on July 9, 2018. He will be in contact with you soon with more details and looks forward to collaborating with you.

Thank you in advance for your participation.
