Dear University of Miami Community,

Today marks the beginning of the Atlantic hurricane season, and already we have witnessed a tropical storm in recent days. It is a reminder that we must be vigilant and proactive in our storm preparedness.

The memories of Hurricane Irma are still fresh for many in our University of Miami and South Florida communities. Early preparation and planning allowed for the safe evacuation of our campuses. The tireless efforts of many within our University family enabled us to repair, reopen, and return. We showed our resilience, and we shared in our renewal. This season we again are prepared.
